IngasTennisSchool now offers Pickleball ”Coaching + Play sessions” in Bude, Callington, Launceston and Tavistock🙂
For the upcoming term all sessions take place indoors, either in a school sports hall or a tennis dome, with full-sized pickleball nets set up on existing badminton court markings – making up 4 pickleball courts in a Sports Hall and 6 or more pickleball courts in a Tennis Dome.

PICKLEBALL ”COACHING + PLAY SESSIONS” (March–May Term)
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Our ”Coaching + Play Sessions” are fun, social and welcoming — and beginners are absolutely welcome.
Ideal for:
- Beginners learning the game properly
- Novice & improvers building confidence
- Intermediate players wanting drills and match play
- Anyone who enjoys friendly, social mix-in style sessions
Players are paired and grouped based on ability to keep games balanced and enjoyable.
SESSION FORMAT
For the upcoming term (March–May), we will offer ”Coaching + Play sessions” only (no separate Coaching or Pair & Play – *unless you have already signed up to an existing session – those will go ahead as scheduled).
Each session includes:
🔹 50% Coaching & Drills
Dinks, serves & returns, rallies, volleys, positioning, scoring, rules and tactics.
🔹 50% Guided Social Play
Short doubles games (approx. 10-minute rounds), rotating partners in a social mix-in format.
Players are matched by ability, and the Coach will assist anyone who needs help with scoring.
This format allows players to learn, practise and immediately apply skills in real-game situations.

END OF TERM PICKLEBALL TOURNAMENTS!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our End-of-Term Pickleball Tournaments are fun & social in nature, with a slightly festive feel 🎉🥳, and give everyone (from improver level upwards) a chance to test their skills in a more competitive setting 😁
Tournaments are 2 hours long (including set-up, warm-up, and introduction) and are played in doubles format — you don’t need a partner to sign up, we’ll pair you with someone of a similar level. Winners will move up a court after each match, while runners-up will move down a court. After each round, you will swap partners.
Players will be matched according to their playing level, competing against others of a similar standard in short games/matches. THERE WILL BE A PRIZE FOR A WINNER! 🏆🎖️😁
Unfortunately these tournaments are not suitable for complete beginners or for players who are not comfortable with the basic shots, scoring, and rules of the game.
Please note that, depending on numbers, some players may occasionally sit out one or two rounds (but it will never be more than one or two rounds per tournament).

PICKLEBALL TASTER EVENTS
🟡 What to Expect
Our social, fun and active Taster Events run for 2 hours in order to give you a full experience of the sport including coaching and a taste of point/mach play towards the end of the session. Events take place indoors in a school sports hall or tennis dome, with full-sized pickleball nets set up on existing badminton court markings (4 courts per hall).
Suitable to those players who are brand new to the sport as well as those who might have played previously or have experience in other racket sports. Players will be paired up according to their skill/ability.
Session format will be as follows:
- Hour 1: Warm-up, intro to the game, and practice key shots (serve, return, volley, dink, etc.)
- Hour 2: Learn the rules, then implement these into actual points and some friendly match play.
*Note: at some venues, participants may occasionally be asked to help with setting up and/or packing away nets.

🎾 Led by a Certified Coach
All sessions are run by Inga Ziemina — Pickleball England Certified Leader & LTA Level 4 Accredited Tennis Coach — with years of experience coaching tennis, running Pair & Play, taster days, tournaments and organising various sporting events.
